Being a Lake Run Club member, will automatically enroll you in our Lake Run Club Circuit. Completing road races that are on our circuit calendar will earn you points towards an award. Award winners can collect their prize at our year-end awards banquet. The next year we start over and do the same thing. Points are awarded on an age group basis. The age groups are based on the Circuit age groups and not the races. A first place finish in the age group will award that runner the maximum number of points for that race. (i.e. 1st place in age at a 5K will earn 35 points, 2nd = 34, etc. down to 15 points) Points possible for that race are listed in the Lake Run Club Circuit Calendar. Age groups for this year's circuit are as follows (for both male and female): 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. Participating in 7 circuit races plus 50 volunteer points will win you an award. The top 10 race scores will count for your final circuit point total. Kid's 14 & under only need to complete 5 circuit races.
Age group is determined by age of the participant at the FIRST RACE on the CIRCUIT. You compete with other runners who are not in the Lake Run Club (LRC)
i.e if you were the first LRC member to finish in your age group but
25 non LRC members in your age group were ahead of you then you would
get 15 points not 35 points for a 5K race. |
